University of Oregon Parent and Family Association

A real estate advisor with Sotheby's International Realty in Beverly Hills, Joy Denton is also part of the University of Oregon Parent and Family Association (PFA). Members like Joy Denton have chosen to be an active part of their university students' lives.

Established in 2005, the PFA offers a lifetime membership that lasts as long as one has a child attending the University of Oregon. This membership includes urgent news updates, priority registration for campus events, and complimentary admission to some campus facilities during family weekends. Parents also can speak directly to University of Oregon leadership if they are part of the PFA.

In addition, members receive several discounts. Their first visit to the Duck Store after registration comes with a 20 percent-off discount, and additional special reductions for university family weekend events are also available.

Parents interested in keeping up with school events benefit from PFA membership, as well. During the first six weeks of the year, they receive exclusive emails, and throughout the year, the PFA provides monthly newsletters that help parents of University of Oregon students to stay informed.
